A job I think that is appropriate for my age group and experience is a job at a sporting goods store, almost all teens participate in a sport or another extracurricular activity. Sporting stores offer a variety of opportunity for teens that are willing to work and get a good and steady paying job. There would be many ways one could get ready for this type of job at sporting good store. You should try to learn about sports in general, like if you play soccer you should at least know a little about basketball and football, it shows the customers and management that you know a lot of information about other sports.
It is very hard to find a job online, at first I just typed in good joobs but all of these Forbes 500 best companies came up so I tried good teen jobs and names like Starbucks, Target Chik Fil A , and Costco came up so I kept searching for a job I would like and I saw Dicks Sporting Goods, I chose Dick's because I play sports and if I worked there I would get a Discount on some of the products, and I am one to never miss out on saving money.
I completely agree find something that you will actually enjoying going to. Informing yourself with the things in the store is a great way to show the people around you that you actually want to take it seriously and your not just messing around. The discounts though. That's a plus but that is they give you discounts. lol
ReplyDeleteFinding a job that you actually like is one of the most important parts of job searching. I think that trying to inform yourself to show that you are interested and beneficial is a great idea. Getting discounts and earning money is what I hope to find when I work.
ReplyDeleteWorking at a place for discounts is a very good idea, I never really thought about that. When I worked at sonic I always got the food half off when I was on the clock.
ReplyDeleteI disagree, I think finding a job online is very easy. I think you just looked up wrong information :-) Since you are a teenager in high school, usually the only places that will hire you are clothing stores, sporting good stores, or anything in the restaurant business. If you plan on looking for a job soon, just think about the possible places you would like to work in your area. Then look them up online! If you can't apply online, call the business and ask for more information.
